Cal, Considering how quickly you got the match together I am very impressed. I like the descriptions you put into moves, also how you explain how the wrestlers are reacting to the moves being performed. A few bits of funny commentary as well! I read what you wrote originally to Chris, it was very harsh and not the way to offer criticism. Please be nicer I know you have apologised so I'm sure we can all leave it at that? Chris, A stronger showing than last week. Good use of commentary although some formatting would definitely help, either change some of the colours or use some thing else to differentiate between the action. If you need help with the colours PM me, it's easy once you figure it out and you can also use the "find & replace" tool in Word, I can talk you through this. Read through Calvin's match, notice it's not "he does a punch then does a throw then does a powerbomb" If you are going to powerbomb someone maybe try something like "He reaches behind his opponents neck and forcefully shoves his head between his own legs. Reaching forward he pulls with all his strength hoisting the the man high into the air" Everyone has their own style though, find something that works for you. Vote: Chris. Sorry Cal, but his match was up on time. I'm a big believer in deadlines, I know Mad Dog has allowed the voting but I think it would be unfair on Chris to vote against him

Mr. Magnificent: Definite improvement from your last venture, but Angelus sums up what I'd say very well. Good stuff, but it needs polishing.
Calvin: Excellent match. Very entertaining.
Now, I'm torn. Maddy has allowed Cal to post, so he shouldn't be penalized for posting late, however, Chris DID have his posted on time, and that should count for something. And yeah, Calvin was being a shit for a bit there...and that could be taken into account as well, methinks.
::Five minutes pass::
Rereading the thread here, I have to vote based on the technicalities, and since MadDog has allowed Calvin to post late, I have to vote unbiasedly on the qualities of each match, and Calvin's was clearly the better showing.
Vote: Calvin

Ok, Voting Deadline has passed, and we have a TIE!
Now, I am torn here - I always said I would be impartial and vote for the match that has the best story-line the one that would work best with everything else that is being written in the XWA at the current time, and with that In mind I will do so.
Even though I had 1st made the ruling that Mr Magnificent had won due to a no-show, and gave him the win, I did over rule myself when I allowed Calvin's late post to be included and opened the voting to everyone. Now, I was hoping for a better turn-out on the voting here, and honestly hoped that there would never be a tie for me to break - but I was let down with this one....
Now, Angelus makes good points as to why he voted the way he did, and Tempest makes a good counter with the reasons for why he voted the way he did. And I honestly can agree with what both said and can see myself casting a similar vote in each case.
But, a decision needs to be made, and with the vote tied at one to one, I am going to make a decision here and close the voting and award the win to.... Calvin Lee.
I liked your Match Mr. M and I see a LOT of promise in your character, but Calvin's match was more polished and complete.... I want you to know it has NOTHING to do with adding color to the text and coding and such (all that crap that Calvin posted about in his rants before he posted his match after the deadline) - Because to me the STORY is what I vote for, not the other stuff - I can care less as to how many graphics you get into your match, nor if you have a special text color and all that jazz. It is the Storyline and/or angle that you write about that is the most important to me, because if you write something that everyone likes, it can get more people involved with your character and in your promo's and matches, which causes more involvement with the site. So with that in mind, I am voting for Calvin Lee and closing this contest.
Winner: Calvin Lee

also... im sorry if my comments sounded asshole ish... that wasn't the intention in that post. i guess i can be a little bit too brutally honest with how i say things.... i don't mean anything by them i just say it how it comes to mind... like, i didn't mean anything when i said his description looked dull... i just couldn't think of any other way to put it.. its not his fault its just the way the font looks when its bunched together.. so bolding it is easier on the eyes.
