A similar thread was posted a long time ago, but since we have quite a few different faces around, I thought that now would be an extremely good time to ask:
What could we be doing better in the XWA?
Do you have ideas for something we aren't currently offering but should be?
Are there rules that don't make sense? Is there a better way to set up cards and matches? How about promos? Title shots? Anything. Speak up now, boyz.
(Note...just sayin', this is intended for constructive criticism and not just whine-fests. Be somewhat polite, 'kay?)

I'm personally pretty happy with the current setup. The cards are good, the match setup is good, the voting system is good. Promos are realistic. Nobody appears to have any problems with anyone. The only thing I have any issue with is the the title shots (and it's not because I'm not getting one, before anyone says anything ). At times I find it's hard to figure out who's in the running for it, or working towards it. With the introduction of the hardcore title, we had the qualifiers. More matches like this for both titles would be a good little thing in my opinion. I'm also a big fan of the Ranking System utilized currently in TNA. Perhaps a version of that? Otherwise, everything's damn near perfect from my POV. We have the XWA Title, Hardcore Title, an up and coming tag team division, a good roster. Ahh yes! The schedule. People have had issues with this in the past couple of months and I think something could be done to solve this. A calendar based schedule. We find a way to get every show, every match deadline, every voting deadline etc onto one calendar. That way everyone knows when to do things for. Include an email alert with that and that could solve schedule issues? That is my 1.31778349p (Two cents)

Ranking system is intriguing, and I think vaguely mentioned in the past. It would help make a clearer title structuring. I'm sure that'll get some discussion "backstage" as it were.
The schedule, IMO, is good, but I agree, if we can get some kind of calendar system in the works that'd make things a lot easier to understand, and hopefully keep everyone on schedule with their matches, etc. Good idea, though I'm not 100% sure if it can be done. Vestal would know more about that, I imagine.
Personally, I'd like to streamline the Roster section. But I will create a separate thread for that at some point.

Some good stuff there. Now howsabout something from some of the folks who've been either running or playing at OTHER Efeds before coming here. Is there anything you think we're missing? Or handling incorrectly? Or just not as well as an idea you have?

I think the thing that is working well for us is that some of the new members have stuck around, the people make this place, one things that separates us from some other feds is that we all get a vote so everyone gets a say. We should be pushing that as a big plus for us.

Update: Currently there are discussions backstage concerning a revamp of the character creation process, a streamlining of the roster page(s) and a brand new ranking system. The schedule is being worked out by me and will be published when its complete.
Anything else?

Just one minor tidbit that recently has come to mind. I'm not usually one to harp as I know we all have lives and indeed XWA as a hobby might not take priority over other things, however at last count the XWA presently has a five person Administration Team (Tempest, Rose, Angelus, MadDog and Vestal) so between that number of individuals there is really no reason why the last results show posted was end of June.
I'd suggest trying to work out a system where teams of Admin team members collaborate together to put together results cards. That way if anything we can keep results up in a timely fashion, speaking for myself even though we read the promos and matches in their entirety before the final card is put together, it is the fact that there is a final card that makes this somewhat compelling. Plus with all the material written and posted it really should simply be a matter of structuring the shows.
I think things would be better in that regard if the team system I suggested was used but definately the results need some updating.

The results ARE usually my job, admittedly, but I've been on vacation and still don't have my laptop back after the charger broke. I'm not sure who was put in charge of the last couple of ones. That said, I've been far from a saint with regards to the last couple sets of results I've done and will do everything I can to make them more timely in future.
With regards to sharing them...I dunno, I made them my job and they can be a bitch to do, but I'd rather it just be my job and the hassle be all mine rather than making them a hassle to everyone. It's just a few hours' work for me and I'm happy to do it.

Actually, nobody was put in charge of that. In all the fun, I missed doing that. Sorry.

Just thought I'd say I'm working atm on a style of results for the new site based on this weeks show and if you ignore the fact that it take FUCKING AGES to code the colour its going quite well so hopefully ill have something you can all look at by the end of the night
