To be clear, this is just something to be talked about and considered. We are NOT shutting down the Match vs Match style of the XWA.
What I'm asking is, should we have a Roleplay only division/title where we vote on Promos the same way we vote on matches? Basically, we know that not everyone has the time to write full matches every week and a half, and I'm looking at options to pull these folks into the XWA fold. It would also have the bonus of effectively increasing our storyline promos at least by double, if not more. (Because, lets face it, not everyone is doing promos for their matches...)
So...Thoughts? Ideas?

I for one am against this. I think the thing that makes us stand out is that we are a match writing fed. I haven't seen too many of them. Even adding an RP only side, it'd be like when TNA got rid of the 6-sided ring, they lost that edge.
If you have an RP only side, that's great for storylines, but what about when these two people go for a match?

A logical arguement.

No. Not at all. We are a match writing fed and always have been. There are lots of people on here who are adapted to writing matches and not RPs and would choose that over RPing anyday. Therefore the RP-Only division would be small and quite pointless in my opinion.
Hazard has also brought up the scenario of 'what would happen in a match situation between an RPer and match writer?' which I totally agree with and see no possible way we can say 'I liked the big spot in your match where you --INSERT AWESOME BIG SPOT HERE- but I liked the twenty line paragraph in the other guy's RP where he contemplated the laws of life and the universe and somehow related that to his match with his opponent better.' It seems silly to me.
Others may like this idea, but I'm not convinced by this at all and I stand by my opinion here.

*chuckles* another STRONG opinion. Good.
Anyone else?

Agreed with all of the above, we've always been a match fed. I think people should be encouraged to Promo more but as a way to evolve their stories and feuds. IT's what sets us apart... it takes a tonne more effort obviously, but those who stick with it end up writing some really good stuff, look at the new batch of writers we've had here.

I haven't been here long enough to understand this concept, but, in my opinion, match writing is more fun than writing promos that automatically give you a title win if there was a title on the line. Match writing is awesome and competitive and there's very few match writing e-feds out there, which is one of the reasons why match writing's so unique in e-fedding! For me, match writing's the way to go. I can add promos to my matches so that the story can be more intriguing, and the curiosity builds up. You're able to create something so unique that it'll have the reader at the edge of his seat waiting to see what happens next, and to top it off, produce a great match to see where the story and/or rivalry takes off.

Well said.
Basically, guys, this whole thread and poll was put up to help remind everyone exactly WHY we do this all the way we do. We are unique. We are elite. And at the risk of sounding totally obnoxious and arrogant, we ARE the best EFed around.

I think we should work on making our main roster stronger before trying to expand. I wouldn't think about a second fed/show (so to speak) without atleast 30 active members.. splitting the roster into two could result in well, the problems that we had when we first started out.
It'd also be interesting however to compete with the wfwf because I know a few people in the wfwf who are getting fed up and are looking for a new place to rp. They made their own fed and it died out.. but I bet they'd be willing to give an xwa rp based fed a try.

Instead promos are telling a story as to where match based you actually are into the overall wrestling part of it. I guess it's a matter of what sparks who's interest.
