Scene into a hallway, light after light after light passes by overhead as the camera goes flying down a corridor. The camera slowly moves vision from the ceiling down to a directly-forward view, where nurses are seen pushing what looks to be a stretcher of some sort. Heavy breathing can be heard among the quick footsteps of the people rushing down the hallway. The camera monions a little further down to reveal the person on the table sucking and pushing air at a slow and labored pace is...[/color]
Dan Bennett [/color]- Danielle...
Yes, the person on the stretcher apparatus is Danielle, and from the looks of it, she seems to be bigger than ever. She is laying with her feet flat on the outer sides of the stretcher, knees bent and pushed together as if to not use the restroom on herself. Dan is clearly seen rushing next to her, wearing a surgeons mask and hairnet to cover his midlength hair, although both look to be thrown on in an insane hurry to get somewhere, which obviously would be where he is now. Danielle has a firm grasp on Dan's hand and is almost dragging him down the hallway with her. Doors whiz by on both sides before one of the nurses states slearly and loudly...[/color]
Nurse [/color]- Here we are, Ms. Michael. The doctor will be here in a few minutes. Until then, these three will be here just in case. And in we go.
The nurses maneuver the stretcher around a wide left turn and Dan almost catches the wall with his face as Danielle drags him into the room with him, her iron grip unnaturally strong as only women-in-labor's grip seem to be. The nurse that spoke quickly exits the room and rushes down the hallway. The remaining three nurses push the bed up afainst the back wall and lock the wheels, making sure that during the process the bed doesn't begin rolling away for any reason. Danielle takes a break on the breathing for a minute and looks to Bennett, and he looks back at her half in shock and half excited.[/color]
Dan Bennett [/color]- Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygo-
Danielle [/color]- DANIEL! Calm down, it's going to be okay.
Dan Bennett [/color]- I know. But I can't believe it! It's the day!
Danielle [/color]- Yes it is. I'm so happy...
Dan Bennett [/color]- Danielle? You don't sound happy... You sound sad... Is everything all okay?
Danielle [/color]- No, Daniel.
Dan Bennett [/color]- N-no? Why no?
Danielle [/color]- I need to know something.
Dan Bennett [/color]- What is it? Whatever it is, ask and you'll get an answer!
Danielle [/color]- Are you just sticking around for the baby, want to see if it's really yours, booking if it isn't? Is that why you're here? You want to see if it's going to be your responsibility?
Bennett steps away from the table and looks at the floor, either ashamed or irritated with that statement. It only takes seconds to find out which way he feels.[/color]
Dan Bennett [/color]- Danielle... I am here for you. That baby is mine, no matter what you have or have not done. I am here for you. I...
Danielle [/color]- ...You what, Daniel.
Dan Bennett [/color]- I... I love you, Danielle.
Danielle's eyes are wide open in shock, and Dan looks away, tears forming in his eyes and his face turning bright shapes of red. He decides to continue although only just stopping himself from crying[/color]
Dan Bennett [/color]- I've had a lot of time to think since my surgery. I really have missed seeing since you left, and I can understand why you were scared. I don't care how corny I come off as saying this, but these last few monthes have been some of the best of my life.
Danielle [/color]- I love you too, Daniel.
It is very clear that Danielle's face has lit up from what Bennett had just told her, and she is wearing an ear to ear smile for about 3 seconds. All of a sudden, her face contorts into a wincing painful face as she is rocked by a contraction. Conveniently enough, that's when the doctor decides to show up and ruin the mood as well as save the day.[/color]
Doctor - All right, Ms. Michael is it?
Danielle nods in agreement and the doctor continues. Dan walks over to her side and takes her hand, fingerlocking with her and looking into her eyes.[/color]
Doctor - Okay, what I'm going to do is I'm going to ask you to take short breaths and when I say push, I would appreciate it if you pushed. Okay, here we go. Easy does it, short, quick breaths... Okay, now push!
As if on a timer, Danielle immediately strains with every muscle in her little body and screams through the pain of the ordeal, clinching extremely hard on Dan's hand. As she crys out in pain he does as well! Unfortunately kiddies, that's as far as it goes, as Dan looks up and sees the camera still in the room. He motions the cut-throat and the camera turns off, removing both the sounds and the video from the birthing room, leaving the arena in total silence.[/color]
