We're backstage, following Amy Taylor with a camera. She's alone, walking towards the coffee machine down the hall. As she walks down the corridor, we notice Eddie Flitchcroft stood, in the background watching. He looks down for a few seconds, as if he;s contemplating something but then his head springs back up. He's thought of something. He looks around and then preceeds over to the coffee machine himself, but it ain't the coffee he's after. We join Amy again, getting a cup and putting it under the coffee machine. Eddie pulls up next to her but gets no cup. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.
EDDIE (Under his breath): God forgive me...
Suddenly he turns as if he's about to walk off but diliberately bumps into Amy, knocking the coffee all over the table. Eddie turns quickly and looks. Amy swings around and notices him.
EDDIE: I'm so sorry.
AMY: It's okay, it was an accident.
EDDIE: Here, I'll get you another one.
He grabs another cup and fills it, then hands it to her.
AMY: Thanks.
EDDIE: No problem. You look like you need it. The way Jack has you running around for him, carrying his luggage and what not. You look like you need a break.
AMY: Heh, as if I'll ever get that...
EDDIE: Why not?
They begin to walk down the corridor.
AMY: Well he has me managing him here every week then I have to go with him to the gym every morning, then we have to discuss plans, well, I say discuss but really he just makes me sit there and listen to him. Then I have to manage him over in N.E.W then the house shows and... I never have time for a break. We're too busy.
EDDIE: You know what, Jack's a big boy. I'm sure he can handle half those things himself. But no. This is exactly what I'm talking about. Jack manipulates you, Amy. He's using you to run errands for him so that he can gain from it. What do you get? I bet he's never thanked you either.
Amy has an uncomfortable look on her face. She knows what Eddie is saying is true but she can't admit it.
EDDIE: I didn't think so. You see? I know Jack better than anyone here, I know what he does to people. Look...
Eddie stops and turns to Amy, a serious look on his face.
EDDIE: Amy; you have to be vocal about these things. Jack is an abusive man and one day he's going to ask you to do something that will ruin your life. I know first hand. Jack drove me insane... I'm not trying to make a decision for you, I'm not trying to turn you against him but I am telling you to do the right thing.
AMY: What's the right thing?
EDDIE: Only you know that, Amy. You can change the face of this whole operation.
Eddie hands her a piece of paper with a phone number on it.
EDDIE: If you need help along the way, I'm always watching. Good luck.
Amy looks down at the paper for a split second, as does the direction of the camera. A few seconds later when we revert to normal view, Eddie has disappeared! Amy looks around confused then stuffs the piece of paper into her pocket and walks off.
