For anyone who saw Jack's plea for assistance, he's having PC issues and asking that we extend next week's deadline for Massacre by a week so he can join us for the show. Haz and Mags commented that they might be able to use the time as well. Lets discuss the pros and cons... PRO:It would help out a few of our players. It would give more time for promo roleplaying. It could potentially help to get better quality matches. CON:It would delay our next PPV and throw off our schedule a bit. It could potentially disrupt our forward moving momentum, storywise. It could encourage our writers to procrastinate and put off writing their matches, thinking they have a LOT of time...and we'd end up with last minute matches and/or no-shows. So, I leave the decision up to you guys. If the majority of the membership is willing to postpone the deadline by a week, we will. If not, then we won't. So..Vote.

As much as I would love to assist any role-player (Especially Jack who I look forward to reading his matches & Promos all the time), it would not be fair to all the role players in the XWA by extending the deadline this way, because on the next card another XWA Superstar may come forward and ask the same request which would then have to be granted due to we would allow this to happen, then the following card it happens again and so on - then instead of having a card every two weeks (Or twice every month) you can end up with one a month, and it will cause others to become dis-interested in the overall experience of roleplaying here in the XWA....
These are my thought alone in voting no - however, I as always will go along with whatever the group decides.

Why don't we settle for a happy medium? Don't extend the deadline thus throwing the schedule out of wack, but have Rose agree to write the match as a dusty finish. Two heels, one with a faction behind him, I'm certain Johawn is creatively inclined enough to come up with some way of having the match end in such a way that leaves the matter unsettled.
By doing this, it opens the door to book the same match, next card. Which is a tactic real wrestling has used to excess many times before now.
That would be my way of handling it anyway.

This does seem like a good idea, you could even take it to a point of the match not even been given a chance to get underway(obviously I don't know how at the moment) just so as one man wasn't writing a match that he felt didn't lead to much.

That was pretty much my plan if the extension wasn't granted, anyway I've been looking forward to a Rose/Sabbath match for the longest time, I want it to be awesome

Ok...so, Rose and Jack...is that what you're doing? Using Valentine's idea? 'cause the votes are in and if you'd rather the extra week, I'll allow it. I'd rather not extend the deadline and use Valentine's plan, but its your call, since the vote went your way.

Well, the poll says give the week *shrug* But I voted no, because I like our schedule and don't want to see it disrupted. I want my match with Jack, but I'd rather see it done properly, maybe a little bit down the line.
